For Jerry Hairston, playing professional baseball was a family affair....His father, Sam, was a big leaguer, as was his brother (John) and his two sons (Jerry Jr. and Scott)....The Hairston's are one of three three-generation MLB families....This is Jerry's third Topps card; his rookie appeared in the 1974 set....Scott leads the Hairston gang with 16 career Topps cards, while Jerry Jr. has 13....Dad has 'only' 9....Jerry played in just 44 games for the White Sox in 1976, batting .227 with 10 RBIs.
